Children's Ministries

Make every effort to add integrity to your faith;
And to integrity add knowledge;
To knowledge add self-control;
To self-control add endurance;
To endurance add godliness;
To godliness add Christian affection;
And to Christian affection add love.
If you have these qualities and they are increasing,
It demonstrates that your knowledge about our Lord Jesus is living and productive.
II Peter 1:5-8

For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. - Ephesians 2:10

Growing Kids For Christ!
To help us accomplish our vision, we have a Children's Ministry Council. Council members are Dana Weaver, Micki Black, Teresa Alexander, Nancy Nissen, Brandi Daetwiler, Patti Woodruff, Arlene Arenas, Hanna Koher, Lisa Addleman, and Yvonne Luna.

Our Vision

Our vision for Children's Ministry is that the children will come to know Jesus, grow spiritually, and learn to serve Him in a safe and fun environment. Trusting God, we will love the children by modeling His love, ministering His love, and multiplying His love by reproducing Christ-like disciples.

Drama Club

All interested children should meet with Dana Weaver on the second Wednesday of each  month from 4-5:30 p.m. They practice skits for C.S.I., Sunday mornings and VBS.

Nursery
Our nursery serves children ages birth - 2 1/2 years old.  It is open during both the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. services and during the 6:30 p.m. Wednesday night service.  If you are checking a child into the nursery, please bring a diaper bag with the following:
. Diapers labeled with the child's name
. A cup/bottle labeled with the child's name
. If bringing a jacket, please label with the child's name
We ask that if your child has been running a fever, has a runny nose, or has been vomiting within the last 24 hours that you not bring your child to the nursery.

Preschool
Our preschool programming serves ages 21/2 (potty trained) through 4 year olds. Our preschool classes are located upstairs on the children's wing. We offer Sunday School classes at both the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. services, as well as on Wednesday night during the Wednesday evening Bible Study. We ask that if your child has been running a fever, has had a runny nose, or has been vomiting/diarrhea within the last 24 hours that you not bring your child to preschool class.

Elementary
Our elementary program serves kindergarteners through sixth graders. The 9 a.m. Sunday service offers a class for kindergarteners, 1st and 2nd graders, 3rd and 4th graders, and 5th and 6th graders. We all begin upstairs in the Fireside Room for worship and then separate into separate classes for age-level Bible study. On Wednesday evenings come join us for dinner at 5:45 p.m. and they we have a study for all ages at 6:30 p.m.

We love and appreciate our volunteers in Children's Ministry. Please consider joining our team to lead or assist in Sunday School, Wednesday night study, assisting with office work or craft prep- we have many opportunities for you to become involved. We invite you to become a part of our team. Please join us in praying for those volunteers-first that God will lay it on the hearts of those He is calling, and second that they would be obedient to His call.

We need helpers in the nursery on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights.  Please see Dana Weaver or Micki Black if you are willing to serve. There’s no experience necessary, just a willing heart that loves His children.
It is our passion to see kids grab a hold of their faith in Jesus for themselves- to realize that God has a plan for them here and now-they don't have to wait to hear Him or serve Him. Our nursery through 1st and 2nd grade classes focus primarily on the kids being exposed to the Word, hearing and reading from the Bible, and experiencing Christ's love through our volunteers. As the children grow older, we add an additional component to the lesson of life application; encouraging kids that the Word is living and applicable to them today.
