Topics: proclaiming the greatness of Christ
I. Humbly proclaim the greatness of Christ
* True humility is the key to spiritual vitality and effectiveness!
1. To me, the very least of all saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ (Ephesians 3:8).
2. Even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent aggressor. Yet I was shown mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief; and the grace of our Lord was more than abundant, with the faith and love which are found in Christ Jesus. It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all (1 Timothy).
II. Lovingly model the unity of the Church
* Love and unity are the hallmarks of true Christian discipleship!
- And to bring to light what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God who created all things; so that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places (Ephesians 3:9, 10).
- When He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come (Ephesians 1:20 b, 21).
- Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity (Colossians 3:14).
III. Faithfully spend time in the presence of God
* God invites us into His holy presence to worship meaningfully!
- This was in accordance with the eternal purpose which He carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him (Ephesians 3:11, 12).
- Therefore, let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).
- Therefore, I ask you not to lose heart at my tribulations on your behalf, for they are your glory (Ephesians 3:13).

Life Group Flow and Discussion Questions
What's your purpose
An important Guideline of Life Groups: Knowing "the eternal purpose"(Eph 3:11) that God has designed for people brings tremendous joy and hope to living out this earthly life. Discuss the BIG picture of eternity within your Life Group and how it directs each person's life choices.
Getting Started:
- How do you know when you are truly humble? What is a good definition of humility?
- What are some creative ways you can model loving unity within Church of the Woods family (Philippians 2:1-4)?
Discussing Truths:
- Who do you think of when asked about a "humble person"? What character qualities cause you to see him/her as humble?
- Why is it vital that we proclaim the unfathomable riches of Christ (Eph 3:8) in our preaching, our conversations and our worship songs?
- What does Paul insinuate with "the manifold"? (multi-faceted) wisdom of God being made known through the church?
- Why do you think angels and fallen angels (demons) are interested in the ministry of the church (1 Peter 1:12)?
- How do you actually worship in God's holy presence meaningfully (John 4:23, 24)?
- Paul refers to his testimony many times with humble gratitude while always exalting Jesus (1 Timothy 1:12-15; Acts 22:6-21; 26:9-23). Can you describe your testimony before you knew Jesus, how you came to know Him personally and after knowing Him?
- How can suffering in this life be a sign of faithfulness?
Now What? Application:
- Make a plan to cultivate intimacy with our gracious Lord by spending regular time with Him to "be still and know that He is God"? (Psalm 46:10).
- Think through what kind of spiritual legacy that you want to leave in your disciples. Are there things that need to happen for that legacy to be fulfilled?
