I. Experienced when God provides through prayer
* Rejoice in your confident deliverance through Jesus Christ!
1. Yes, and I will rejoice, for I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayers and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:18b, 19).
2. "Though He slay me, I will hope in Him. Nevertheless I will argue my ways before Him. This also will be my salvation "(Job 13:15, 16a).
3. And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).
II. Examined when Christ is exalted in people
* Rejoice in the unashamed hope of the magnification of Christ!
- According to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will not be put to shame in anything, but that with all boldness, Christ will even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death (Philippians 1:20; see 2 Timothy 1:8).
- For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing (2 Timothy 4:6?8).
- Now, little children, abide in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not shrink away from Him in shame at His coming (1 John 2:28).
III. Enjoyed when Christ is your life in perpetuity
* Rejoice that Jesus Christ is your life for all eternity!
- For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain (Philippians 1:21; cf. Colossians 3:2-4).
- For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf (2 Corinthians 5:14, 15).

Your ultimte deliverance
An important Guideline of Life Groups: Make sure everyone in your Life Group has assurance of their ultimate deliverance through your prayers and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:19).
Getting Started:
- Why can Christians be so confident in our ultimate deliverance (1 John 5:11-13)?
- Paul did not know if he would be delivered from his prison with freedom or death (Philippians 1:1:20; 2:17), but he knew his ultimate deliverance. Can you express a secure faith in Christ with your ultimate deliverance (Colossians 3:2-4)?
Discussing Truths:
- How do you discipline your spiritual life in your intercessory prayers for others?
- Do you truly rejoice in the Lord despite your circumstances, despite your critics and despite your crisis?
- What does it mean to have Christ exalted in our bodies, whether by life or by death (Philippians 1:20; Romans 14:8)?/li>
- When people look at you, do they see the greatness and glory of the Spirit of Christ in you or do they see your flesh (Galatians 5:16-18)?
- How can you enhance your intercessory prayers for others (Ephesians 6:18-20; James 5:16)?
- Biblical hope brims with certainty because it is based upon the fact that God is God and He holds the future. How do you grieve when a loved one dies (1 Thessalonians 4:13, 14)?
- What do you need to surrender in your life to live fully for Jesus?
Now What? Application:
- Is there anything that needs to be developed or changed in your life, so that you will not be ashamed at His coming (Mark 8:38; Hebrews 10:38, 39; 1 John 2:28)?
- Make Philippians 1:21 not only your memory verse, but your life verse as well!
